‘Elysian’ is a sculptural installation that also acts as a water feature. It is a poetic composition of birds in flight, flying through a portal to reach paradise. That idea is depicted through transformation, which is represented by change in material. The stainless-steel ring represents a portal and as the birds fly through the portal they transform from stone to glass. The glass attempts to create the illusion that the birds are disappearing into the sky as they are flying towards paradise.
